Further information or material for applications | Section 240

(1)After receiving the application, the commissioner may require the applicant to give further information or material about the application to help the commissioner decide the further action to be taken on the application.


1The commissioner may require the application to be amended to more accurately identify respondents to, or affected persons for, the application.

2The commissioner may require the applicant to give the commissioner a copy of the applicant’s correspondence to the committee for the body corporate showing the applicant’s attempts to resolve the dispute by internal dispute resolution.

(2)A requirement under subsection (1)—

(a)may require the information to be verified by statutory declaration; and

(b)must state the period within which the information or material must be given to the commissioner.
